BATON ROUGE, La. - Margaret Lou Holloway Bahlinger, 50, formerly of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003.

Services were Friday in Trinity Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge. Memorial services will be at 6:30 p.m. today in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Amarillo, Texas. Arrangements are by Rabenhorst Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bahlinger was a pharmacist and homemaker in her former homes of Amarillo and Houston. The 50-year-old native of Quitman, Ga., received her bachelor's in pharmacy from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in Athens, Ga., and a master's in pharmacy administration from University of Wisconsin in Madison.
Her various honors include Rho Chi membership, Rennenebohm Graduate Teaching Fellow of the Year and was twice named Professor of the Year at the University of Wisconsin. She was a member of American Society of Healthcare Systems Pharmacists. While a member of Gulf Coast Branch of ASHSP, she held various offices.
She was also a member of American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, as well as the Mensa Society. Baptized at an early age, Margaret was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church where she loved playing hand bells.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Gerald and Martha Holloway; her maternal grandparents, Ray and Kathryn Longshore; her paternal grandparents, Coley and Mamie Holloway; and her mother-in-law, Helen Bahlinger.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Paul Bahlinger; two sons, Michael Jared LoPachin of Baton Rouge and Nicholas John LoPachin of Lafayette; two sisters, Kathryn Warmack and husband, Russell, of Lyman, S.C., and Geraldine Herring and husband, Sam, of Valdosta, Ga.; two special sisters, Lucinda Miller and Elaine King Miller, both of Amarillo; her father-in-law, Vernon Bahlinger; two sisters-in-law, Mary Gay Bahlinger and husband, William Larrick, and Nanette Bahlinger; four brothers-in-law, Cary Bahlinger and wife, Jane, Bruce Bahlinger, Cliff Bahlinger and wife, Lisa, and Tom Bahlinger and wife, Donna; and numerous relatives, friends and collegues.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice.
