Pat Jahner
MOTT -- Pat Jahner, 73, Mott, died March 31, 1999, in the Mott nursing center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Monday, at St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Mott, with the Rev. James Reardon officiating. Burial will be at 1-30 p.m. CDT Tuesday, at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, south of Mandan.
Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. MDT today, and 9-10 a.m. MDT Monday, both at Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Mott. A rosary service will be said at 7 p.m. MDT tonight at the funeral home.
Perpetua "Pat" Jean Jahner was born Nov. 25, 1925, in the Sheffield community to Dominic and Catherine (Greff) Wandler. She attended St. Pius Catholic School in Sheffield. Pat moved to Fargo where she was employed for two years. She then returned to the Sheffield community to her parents' home. On July 10, 1947, she married Paul Jahner at St. Pius Catholic Church. They moved to Dickinson and in 1955, moved to Mott where they raised their family. Pat was active in St. Vincent's Catholic Church and School, and in her community throughout her life. After raising her children, she took up painting and golfing. Pat and Paul travelled extensively after his retirement. She was diagnosed with cancer in 1995 and since has fought it courageously.
Grateful to have shared her life are her husband, Paul; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Wayne Jahner and his fiance, Lori Bosch, Bismarck, and Allan and Janey Jahner, Casselberry, Fla.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Chuck Haeflinger, Chino Hills, Calif., Laura and Abdul Kabir, Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., and Janice and Rich Meade, Simi Valley, Calif.; five sisters and one brother-in-law, Magdalen Schoch, New England, Catherine Fisher, Roseburg, Ore., Lorraine and Albert Kudrna, Bismarck, Florence Chadderdon, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Bridget and Pete Messer, Tacoma, Wash.; four grandchildren, Kari, Michael, Kelly and Daniel Jahner, all of Bismarck.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jerome and Dominic Wandler; and one sister, Genevieve Vondrachek.
