Obituary of Donald Anderson
DONALD ANDERSON
Donald J. Anderson, 88, of Bethesda, Ohio, died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Barnesville Hospital. He was born February 27, 1927 in Barnesville, Ohio, son of the late Hubert G. Anderson and Mary Ann Reischman Anderson.
A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Don was a longtime member of Bethesda United Methodist Church, was retired from Teamsters Local Union #697, a member of the V.F.W. of Bethesda, past commander of the American Legion of Barnesville, and an avid NASCAR fan. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard during World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy J. McCormick Anderson; brothers, Charles, Robert, and Paul Anderson; sisters, Helen Boulet and Dorothy Morris.
Don is survived by his wife of 25 years, Ruth Anderson of Bethesda, Ohio; daughters, Chris (Jerry) Withrow of Bethesda, Ohio, Frances (Dave) Nardo of Belmont, Ohio, Brenda (Doug) Munjas of North Carolina, Beth (Ron) Hudson, Bridget (John) Delaney all of Barnesville, Ohio, Becky (Dave) Bernardo of Minnesota; sons, David (Karen) Anderson of Pickerington, Ohio, Steve (Deanna) Anderson of Bethesda, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Catherine Boulet , Norma Carpenter both of Barnesville, Ohio, Eileen Britton of Jerusalem, Ohio, Rita (Tom) Jefferis of Bethesda, Ohio; brothers, Ralph (Patty) Anderson of Belmont, Ohio, Larry Anderson of Columbus, Ohio, Jack Anderson of Florida, and John (Jean) Anderson of Barnesville, Ohio.
Family and friends are welcome to visit, Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service beginning at 11 a.m., Kelly Kemp Braido Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. Reverend Tom Detling officiating. Interment will follow at Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio, where Military Honors will be conducted by Belmont County Veteran's Association.
