- [S927] Obituary.
Lawrence Edward "Larry" Reischman
"Larry" was born in Taft, Kern County, California on August 10, 1927. He was the oldest of 5 children born to Lawrence Paul Reischman and Nora Francis Logan. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Roberta Wittler as well as his brother, Raymond Joseph and sister, Margaret Ann. He is survived by three sisters; Mary Patricia, Helen Elizabeth and Phyllis Sparks. Larry and Roberta leave four children; Cheryl Anne, Bernadette Marie, Susan Elizabeth and Lawrence Robert. Larry is also survived by his second wife of 22 years, Patricia May Reischman. Larry will be missed by dozens of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many close friends. Larry was as kind, gentle and patient a man as you would know. Never a cross word or show of anger. Larry has been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since the day Elder David Bybee baptized him in 1973. Larry has spent 17 years as a temple ordinance worker at the Boise Idaho temple. He loved volunteering at the cannery and working in the genealogy library. Larry has always been the first one to volunteer for service assignments. Larry was a very intelligent man and well educated. He was an electrical engineer in the aerospace industry and retired in 1990. Larry enjoyed the game of football. He played it and lettered at Bakersfield High School. He enjoyed watching the Boise State Broncos and was always up to watch a Saturday afternoon college football game. In closing, I believe I can speak for all those who have known Larry. He has touched our lives and our hearts, and we will carry happy memories of him and that little smile and twinkle in his eye, and his kind, gentle manner. Services for Larry will be held at the Indian Lakes Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3550 S. Cole Road in Boise, 10:00 Friday morning, January 14, 2011, with a visitation for family and friends beginning at 9:00 A.M. Immediately following the service will be a graveside at the beautiful Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.AccentFuneral.com.
