Charles "Hank" Faul Sr.

Age: 80
Charles "Hank" Faul Sr., 80, of Wilmington, died Saturday (April 19, 2003) at Clinton Memorial Hospital. His wife, Edith Mae Ausman Faul, preceded him in death.
Mr. Faul was was born Nov. 23, 1922, in Brown County, son of the late William and Vera Wardlow Faul. He was a life member of Wilmington VFW Post 6710. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and had been a farmer and was retired from the County Highway Department.
He is survived by four sons, Charles H. Jr. (Maureen) Faul of Lynchburg, Robert D. Faul of Wilmington, James M. (Rita) Faul of Wilmington and John E. (Deborah) Faul of Martinsville; a special friend, David Conger of Wilmington; a brother, Earl Faul of Hillsboro; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Melvin Lewis Faul and Kenneth Wayne Faul, who was killed in Vietnam; a sister, Gladys Willet; and a brother, John David Faul.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the FISHER-EDGINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 97 W. Locust St., Wilmington, the Rev. Elizabeth Looney officiating, with burial in the New Antioch Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 49 memorial squad. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the donor's favorite charity, in Mr. Faul's memory.
