NOBLE CO. MAN KILLED BY TRACTOR
CALDWELL - Raymond Kress, 38, of Caldwell Route 4 was killed yesterday
when a tractor he was driving overturned, crushing him. The accident occurred
on the Emil Miller farm near Fulda and Kress? body was discovered by Miller
about 5 o?clock in the afternoon. Dr. E.G. Ditch, acting coroner said Miller had
been dead about four hours. The tractor apparently struck a large rock, causing it
to overturn, the coroner said.
Kress, a veteran of World War II, was a native of Noble county and was the son
of the late Louis and Mary Biedenbach Kress. He was a member of St. Philomena
Catholic church here and was past president of the Holy Name society of the church.
Surviving are his widow, the former Marie Crum, and a brother, Gilbert, of near
Fulda.
Services will be held at 9 o?clock Thursday morning at St. Philomena church with
burial in Olive cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home where members
of the Holy Name society will recite the Rosary at 8 o?clock Wednesday night.
