Beverly Frances Sheets, daughter of Russell A. and Mary Frances (Cooley)Prentiss, was born in Leakesville, Mississippi on March 18, 1950, and died as a result of an automobile accident on Interstate 80 near York, Nebraska, Saturday, March 30, 1996, at the age of 46 years and 12 days.
She attended Forrest Hill Elementary School in Mobile, Alabama, Hebron, Nebraska, Public Schools and graduated from Hebron High School with the Class of 1969.
December 5, 1981, in Superior, Beverly was married to James Stuart Sheets. This union was bless (sic) with one son, James Matthew.
She had lived in Mobile, Alabama; Leakesville, Mississippi, Hebron, Nebraska; Belleville, Kansas; Columbus, Nebraska, and was making her home in Superior, Nebraska, at the time of her death. She was owner of Pinnacle Music in Superior, Nebraska.
Survivors include her parents, Russell A. and Mary Frances Prentiss of Leakesville, Mississippi; two sons, Trevor James Sheets of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Robert Wayne Breland Jr., of Leakesville, Mississippi; two daughters, Beverly Rochelle Breland and Janet Anetra Breland, both of Superior, Nebraska; one sister, Janet Lee Breland and her husband Don of Chester, Nebraska; one grandson, Nathan Storm Breland; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Her husband, James Stuart, and son, James Matthew, died in the same accident.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 3, 1996, from the United Methodist Church, Superior, Nebraska, with
Rev. L. Patterson Culligan officiating. Music was provided by soloist Kenneth Hoge singing "In The Garden" and "In The Sweet Bye & Bye" with Carlita Price as organist and accompanist. Casketbearers were Don Breland, Don Breland, Jr., David bomberger, Jerry Campbell, John Aberg and Roger Wall. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Hullett, Ann Purdy, Patricia Hullet, Charles Hullett, Judy Hullett, Bob Ginther, Ivan Miller, Rex Thomas, Richard Thomas and Vicki Dixon. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Superior, Nebraska. Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior, Nebraska, was in charge of the arrangements.
