Joseph M. Fyock, 73, Route 322, Brookville, died Friday at the McKinley Health Center.
He was born Sept. 9, 1936, in Reynoldsville, a son of the late Leroy L. "Teaberry" Fyock and Melora Hamilton Fyock. On Dec. 14, 1956 in Fayetteville, N.C., he was married to Alice Siar. She survives. The couple were married for 53 years.
He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was the owner and operator of Fyock Radiator Service in Brookville from 1954 to 2006.
He was Protestant by faith and a past-member of the FOE No. 983 in Brookville where he served as chaplain and treasurer. He was also a member of the Trail-Blazers Saddle Club in Brookville and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes and won a Pennsylvania State Championship along with many other trophies.
Survivors include two sons, Michael James (Staci) Fyock of Brookville, Steven R. (Jo A.) Fyock of Brookville; a daughter, Heather (Ron) Lindenpitz of Strattanville; a sister, Barbara Gilligan (Jack) of Blairsville; nine grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren
He was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Leroy Fyock.
