He served in the Army in 1946 and was stationed at Sheppard field in the Army Air Corps in Witchita Falls, Texas and Geiger Field in Spokane, Washington. ? In 1948, he married Ella Barth. They made their home in Bowdle, South Dakota, and in 1959, they moved to Lodi. He started his career at General Mills in 1960 and retired in 1990. ? He was a lifelong member of the Congregational Church, serving as moderator and trustee. His hobbies included bowling and traveling in his motor home. He is survived by his wife Ella of Lodi; son, Wade (Janet) Schick; daughter, Theresa (William) Anderson; grandchildren, Timothy (Christin) Schick, Matthew Schick, Janae Schick, Kristen (Matthew) Lewis, Thomas Anderson; great grandchildren, Mason Lewis, Jayden Lewis, and Connor Lewis; sister, Ada Lynn Kuehl from Freeport Illinois; brother, Arman Schick of Lodi. He was preceded in death by his son, Jody Schick and granddaughter in-law, Erica Anderson. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 27, from 1pm-6pm and Sunday, March 28, from 9am-6pm. ?
