JOHN S. MOSBRUCKER, 96, of Beulah, passed away on September 28, 2012, at Knife River Care Center, Beulah. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT, Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Beulah, with Father Ken Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Beulah. Visitation will be held at from 5:00 – 7:00 PM CDT, Tuesday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. John was born on January 30, 1916, in Youngstown, ND, to Joseph and Magdalena (Gerhardt) Mosbrucker. He was raised and educated in Blue Grass, ND, attending a country school. In 1938, John married Mathilda (Baier) Weigum. Together they moved to New Salem and on April 10, 1945, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served until October 25, 1946. He worked his way up the ranks, eventually working as a Staff Sargent. John then returned to North Dakota and moved many places to work including Helena, MT, and Vancouver, WA. He eventually moved back to Beulah and worked as a mechanic at Liebelt Chevrolet. From 1960 to 1964, John worked on a pipeline project and traveled to Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, Oregon and Wisconsin. He then retired to Beulah and worked at the John Deere Implement until he retired. John enjoyed fishing and watching car races. He was a member of the Local 49 Operating Engineers and the VFW. He is survived by three children, Luella Isaak of Center, Leonard & Maxine Mosbrucker of Dickinson, Sandy and Jim Kasper of Fargo; eight grandchildren, Bruce & Lil Isaak, Byron & Tere Isaak, Brent and Janice Isaak, Burton Isaak, Sheila & Vern Chitwood, Michael Mosbrucker, Jim & Karen Kasper and Jeff Kasper; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Christ & Margaret Mosbrucker of Oregon, Ray Mosbrucker, Matthew and Charla Mosbrucker, both of Washington; four sisters, Rose Malgram, Jenny Morgan and Clara Jons, all of Washington, Bertha & Graham Jackson of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mathilda; one son-in-law, Paul Isaak; two grandsons, Steven Mosbrucker and Frank Michael Kasper; six sisters, Anna Fix, Barbara Fischer, Marie Schutt, Margie Swanson, Eva Mosbrucker and Florence Harrel. Arrangements conducted by Barbot-Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
