  [S927] Obituary. Charles Edwin Scott, 90, of Belleville, W.Va., died Nov. 20, 2009, at Wyngate Care Facility. He was born Oct. 26, 1919, in his grandparent's house on the farm in Belleville, a son of the late Charlie and Elma Young Scott. He was retired from DuPont after 34 years of service and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 15 and a life member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, drawing and woodworking. He also built and flew model airplanes. He still enjoyed visiting his farm in Belleville daily. He is survived by one daughter, Carol Jane Goosman and husband, Tim, of Washington; three grandchildren, Abby Goosman of Washington, Erin Branham of Parkersburg and Ryan Hudgins of Richmond, Va.; and three great-grandchildren, Connor and Ava Branham and Tabitha Hudgins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lady Ruth Mace Scott; daughter, Connie Hudgins; one brother, Clare Scott; and an infant sister. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. L. Norman Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with military graveside rites by the American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
