- [S8] Information from an informant - Auskunft eines Informanten - Information d'un informateur.
Dear Ursula,
Francis Luverne Kirsch (person ID I120646) is male (not female).
The last we knew, he is still living in Hornick, Iowa.
Years ago, he and his wife (Pauline - deceased) went to Germany to
research Kirsch. We got some English translated copies from them. We have
the marriage application of Johann Georg Kirsch and Maria Catharina
Schmitt, birth declaration of Friederich Kirsch (born 18 March 1831), and
the birth declaration of Philippina Kirsch (born 17 October 1834).
Philippina was the daughter of George Kirsch and his wife Catharina
Schmitt. After the official stuff, it notes that Philippina Kirsch died
June 19, 1836 at 2 years.
I have attached the Marriage Application since it gives the date of death
of his father (Freiderich died 24 January 1825) and the date of death of
his mother (Appolonia Stobener died 2 March 1816 in Vorderweidenthal).
Also, it gives the his wife (Maria Catharina Schmitt) and her parents date
of deaths. Did not see these death dates on your website. Hope this helps.
Noticed a little discrepancy in Johann Georg Kirsch's birth date. This was
the last generation we had on the Kirsch family. A ancestor chart, notes
that Friederich Kirsch (died 24 January 1825) owned a guest house
(hotel?).
Wondering where all the Kirsch information came from - thought maybe some
of it came from Francis and Pauline Kirsch? If you would like a copy of
the birth declarations of Friederich and Philippina Kirsch just like me
know.
Randy Kirsch
