Hulda Graf, 94, Fargo, ND, formerly of Jamestown, ND died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Manor Care Nursing Home, Fargo.
Hulda Graf was born October 20, 1917 near Ashley, ND to Gottlieb and Magdalena (Schauer) Grueneich. She was one of six sisters and four brothers. Hulda was raised on a farm where the family moved to near Underwood, ND when she was eight years old. Hulda attended Reuter Country School near Linder, ND. She did domestic work in the area until she married Otto Graf of Napoleon, where she worked at the local cafes. They moved to Windsor, ND and later to Jamestown. She cooked at the Jamestown Café for 18 years. When that closed she cooked at the State Hospital for 11 years before she retired. After Otto passed away, she moved to Fargo, ND to be closer to her children where she has resided for 10 years.
She raised a family of 10 children. Hulda was loved by all who knew her. She accepted everyone for who they were and never stood in judgement on anyone. She had a twinkle in her eyes, loved to tell her stories from the old days and was always able to adjust to whatever life brought to her. She enjoyed traveling and being with her families.
