Margaretha married Friedrich SAYLER on the 30th of November 1865 in Johannestal, Beresan, Odessa, South Russia. This union was blessed with no less than 9 children. Margaretha at the age of 40 with her husband Friedrich and their children; Magdalena, Gottlieb, Elisabetha, Jacob, Katharina and Johannes, immigrated to America via the Port of Bremen, Germany aboard the SS "Fulda" and arrived at the Port of New York, New York on the 13th of April 1885. The Friedrich SAYLER family settled on a homestead 3½ miles south of Venturia in McIntosh County, North Dakota.
