Marlin J. Plamondon
On the night of Thursday, January 12, 2012 Marlin Plamondon passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family.
Marlin was born to Joseph and Dorothy Plamondon on August 11th, 1941, in Leelanau County, Michigan, where he spent most of his life. He grew up in a family of ten children where he was the oldest sibling. He moved to Pinedale, Wyoming with his wife, Gloria, in 1992 and eventually to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2005 in order to be closer to their daughter and newest born grandchild.
Gloria and Marlin met in 1963 and were married on October 17th 1964 and celebrated their 47th anniversary this past fall. They shared a wonderful life together and raised four children.
Marlin loved his family and the great outdoors. He enjoyed taking his children hunting, fishing, and also instructing them in music. He was a well-respected wood worker and musician. He is best known and will be remembered as a fun loving individual who liked to laugh and tell jokes. He was also a great listener and friend.
Marlin is survived by his wife and soul mate Gloria Plamondon; his sons Daryl (Jennifer), Christopher (Wendy); his daughter Jessica (Nicholas) Kenworthy; his siblings Mona (Jim) Rice, Ken (Paula), Ernest, Cathy (John) Skeba, Gregory (Sharon), Steve (Mary), Todd (Denise); and his grandchildren Tyler, Kile, Macey, Tyler Anys, Hilary, Shelby, Alexis Anys, Isaac, Adam and Olivia. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy Plamondon; brother Robert E.; sister Rebecca S. Miller; daughter Kimberly; and son Brian.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary?s Church in Lake Leelanau, Michigan, with a visitation for family beginning at 9:00 AM and visitation for friends at 9:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to join us in remembering and celebrating Marlin?s life at a luncheon following services.
