Obituary, New Castle News, July 11, 1990 - Mary E. Slevin: Mrs. Mary E. Slevin, 75, of 509 Ore St., Ellwood City, died at 12:20 p.m. on July 10, 1990, in Central Medical Center, Pittsburg, following a five-month illness. Born in Monroe County, Ohio, on March 26,1915, she was a daughter of Joseph and Bessie Hawkins Reed. Her husband, Henry Slevin died February 26, 1963. Mrs. Slevin was a retired seanstress from Soloman?s Dry Cleaners. She was a member of St. Agatha Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George (Patti) Rossi of Endwell, N.Y., and Mrs. Anthony (Barbara) Zaccheo of Ellwood City; two sisters, Jane Martin of Frankford, Ky., and Sally Rutherford of Zanesville, Ohio; two brothers, George and Doc Reed, both of Monroe County, Ohio; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Jake and William Reed. Calling hours are tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City, where vigil service will begin at 8 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. at the St. Agatha Church by the Rev. Thomas M. Kirby, pastor. Interment will be in St. Agatha Cemetery.
