Bernard J. Haren
Age 90, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 at St. Joseph Care Center. He was born Oct. 18, 1919 in Louisville, Ohio to the late Otto and Nellie (Miller) Haren. Bernard was retired from H-P Products and Haren Construction. He was a life long member of St. Louis Catholic Church, a member of the Louisville Post of the American Legion, Louisville K of C, a long time member of the Louisville Kiwanis Club and an avid golfer. Bernard was a World War II Army veteran and served in Medical Detachment at Fitzsimmons General Hospital, Denver, Colo. He was preceded in death by is wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Haren, in 2006; four brothers, Don, George, Bob and Harry Haren; two sisters, Rita Schoeppner and Lillian Begue.
Bernard is survived by two daughters, Karen (Jeff) Seanor of Alliance, Connie Burgess (Larry Keffer) of East Canton; five sons, Bernard (Janet) Haren of Louisville, Charles (Costa) Haren of Austin, Texas, Jeff (Shirley Huff) Haren of East Canton, Bill (Debbie) Haren of Louisville and Alan Haren of Louisville; four sisters, Carol Langyanky of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Lucille Michel of Carrollton, Jean Nau and Margaret Begue, both of Louisville; three brothers, Tom (Jean) Haren of Berea, Paul Haren of Louisville, Louie (Nancy) Haren of Canton; 24 grandchildren; 32 great- grandchildren; six great-great- grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Friday in the St. Louis Catholic Church, Louisville, Ohio, with Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Louis Parish Cemetery.
