Max William Bruch Jr., age 92, of Butternut, died on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls. He was born on January 10, 1923 in Butternut, the son of Max Sr. and Lena (Baatz) Bruch. His early life and schooling were in Butternut. He earned a Business degree in Milwaukee and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during WWII from 1942 to 1946. Max was a lifetime resident of Butternut and was a salesman for Leigh High Valley Railroad. He enjoyed planting trees, gardening, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by: his sister, Lena Daniels of Whitewater; two nieces, Linda (Ken) Hultman of Louisville, Colorado, and Mary Lee (Bob) Kantin of Park City, Utah; one nephew, David Arnold of Moon Township, Pennsylvania; special relatives David and Bob Weinberger and families; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Anna Marie Arnold; and his nephew Bob Daniels.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. from St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Butternut. The Rev. John A. Deitz will officiate.
Burial will follow at Butternut Union Cemetery in Butternut with military honors under the auspices of the Butternut American Legion Post.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church.
