Corinne Eloise Brookover, 74, of Lancaster Street, Marietta, died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday (April 4, 2002) at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 7, 1928, in Harriettsville to Charles William and Emma Lulla Kilzer Ridgway. She was a 1947 graduate of Elk Rural High School. She worked as a cook at the Parkette Restaurant and later at Selby General Hospital. She enjoyed working puzzle books, talking on the C.B. and working outdoors with her flowers. She was a past member of Zion United Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brooker, who died in 1976; and by her parents.
She is survived by four children, Douglas Brookover and his wife, Vickie, of Marietta, Debbie Harris of Marietta, Dawn Brookover of Parkersburg, and Tony Brookover of Marietta; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Webber of Lewisville.
Services are at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home in Marietta with burial in Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery in Harriettsville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. today until the hour of the service.
