ALDWELL -- Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, Caldwell, for Charles R. "Charlie" Feldner, 70, of East Union, who passed away Sunday (Jan. 4, 2009) at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
Ministers Craig Matheny and Frank Love will co-officiate. Burial will follow in East Union Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell.
He was born June 12, 1938, in Noble County, a son of the late Henry and Mary Love Feldner.
Mr. Feldner was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell. He served his nation in the Army National Guard and was retired from the Mahle Plant in Caldwell, following more than 35 years of service.
He enjoyed farming, horses and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Michael Feldner; a granddaughter, Tiffany Feldner; a brother, Ed Feldner; and a daughter-in-law, Kate Feldner.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma R. Pryor Feldner of the home, whom he married Dec. 13, 1964; two sons, Steve (Peggy) Feldner of Pleasant City and Roger (Tonda) Feldner of East Union; five grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Brandon and Wyatt Feldner and Brittany (Nick) Noll; two great-grandchildren, Natilee and Nash Noll; two sisters, Shirley Butler of Thornville and Betty Bates of Canton; three brothers, John (Doris) Feldner of Norfolk, Va., Donnie (Bonnie) Feldner of Scio and Gary (Ruthann) Feldner of Sarahsville; daughter-in-law, Patty Feldner of Sarahsville; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
