Glenn BredonGlenn Bredon, age 87, of North Canton, passed away Saturday morning, August 27, 2005, at Aultman Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on October 4, 1917, in Calvin, WV, to the late Londis and Alice Bredon. A proud WW II Army Veteran, Glenn entered the Army in 1941, serving in the South Pacific, Company I, 145th Infantry. He was honorably discharged in 1945 as a Staff Sergeant. A career electrician, he began his career with Spring Electric and retired from Hilscher-Clark in 1982. A music enthusiast, avid reader, fisherman and naturalist, he will be best remembered for his high-spirited cribbage playing and retelling of stories to his children and grandchildren. He was an active member of the VFW 37th Division, the Electrician?s Union IBEW Local #540 and the Ambassadors Class at Canton Baptist Temple. Preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Richard (Vernell) Geib; son, Kim L. Bredon; and grandson, Abraham Bredon. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Lucie K. (Love); his daughter, Claudia Bator of Massillon; his son and daughter-in-law, Jan and Debra (Bayer) Bredon of Louisville; son and daughter-in-law, Dirk and Sue (Diefenthaler) Bredon of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Jason Bator, Amanda (Votaw) Crowe, Kelsie Bredon, Kaylyn Bredon, Travis Bredon, Amber Bredon,; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Bator and James Crowe III; brother and sister-in-law, William D. and Jeanne Bredon, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received Tuesday at the Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home 6-8 p.m., 5000 Everhard Road NW, Canton, OH 44718. A funeral service will be held at Canton Baptist Temple Wednesday at 11 a.m., 515 Whipple Ave NW, Canton, OH, 44708. Pastor Mike Frazier and Pastor John Harrison will officiate. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the Canton Baptist Temple Activity Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Canton Baptist Temple or a charity of your choice.
