Flees, 76, of Rt. 2 Suttons Bay, died early in the morning on Jan. 1 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. A life-long resident of Suttons Bay, she was born Feb. 14, 1903 to Charles B. and Barbara (Schaub) Steimel. On May 10, 1921 she married Domazy Flees in Suttons Bay, and he died in 1975. Also preceding her in death were two daughters. Surviving are a sister, Rose Clark of Suttons Bay; a brother, Albert Steimel of Suttons Bay; four sons, Firmin Flees and William Flees, both of Spokane, Wash., James Flees of Suttons Bay and John Flees of Traverse City; four daughters, Mrs. Peter (Frances) Walters and Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Walters, both of Traverse City, Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Gretzmacher of Suttons Bay and Mrs. David (Diane) Wilson of Grand Ledge; 39 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Mrs. Flees was a member of St. Michaels Church in Suttons Bay, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Father Ceslaus K. Klimowicz will officiate.
