  [S927] Obituary. Buyck, Elmer - Elmer J. Buyck, 86, formerly of Lyons, died March 31, 2008 at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Elmer was born Aug. 29, 1921 in Marion, son of James & Elsie (DeNering) Buyck. He had worked for Gould Pumps in Seneca Falls for 10 years, and before that for Garlock Co. in Sodus. He was a former fireman for Sodus Center Fire Dept., and a former Moose member. He was a member of Sodus Bay Height Country Club where he was an avid golfer. He is survived by his son, James (Karen) of Sodus; grandson, Andrew of Ft. Collins, Colorado; sister, Marge (Leo) Fletcher of Sodus; nieces, nephews. He was predeceased in 2003 by his wife Lorraine, and in 2000 by his grandson, Sgt. Jason Buyck, U.S. Marine Corps. Friends may call Thursday, April 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Boeheim Pusateri Funeral Home, 77 William St., Lyons, where services will be Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery.
