From Obituary Ed Mosbrucker, 72, of Dickinson, died on Friday, Aug 8, 1997. Of Stomach Cancer at St. Joseph's hospital and Health Center in Dickinson, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, Aug 11, at St. Wenkceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson with the Rev. Pete Kramer officiating. Special music will be provided by Mary and Dana Syvrud, organist Pricilla Keogh, and song leader Chris Volk. Interment will be in St. Jospeh's Cemetery in Dickinson. Visitation will be held on Sunday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home from 2 PM to 9 PM with a rosary at 4 PM followed by a prayer service at 4:30 PM by Deacon Gene Morman. Ed Mosbrucker was born on Feb 17, 1925, to Christ and Johanna (Dietrick) Mosbrucker, In Glen Ullin. His family homesteaded near Glen Ullin. On Sept 16, 1946 he married Erma Weiand of Glen Ullin. IN 1963, he and his family moved to Dickinson where he was employed at West Plains Electric. Upon retiring from West Plains, he served as the Building and Cemetery Director for the City of Dickinson for six years. He was a member of St. Wenceslalus, Knights of Columbus, Eagles, AARP, and he served on the original Dakota Dinosaur Museum Board. He was very active in senior citizens health issues which included teaching aerobics. He was instrumental in starting hiking trails and the hiking club in Dickinson. He initiated and taught the first groups of line dancing in Dickinson. He enjoyed sports, including fishing, hiking, baseball and dancing. He coached American Legion Baseball for several years. He and his wife wintered in Arizona for the past four years, where he coached and played softball. He is survived by his wife.. Erma of Dickinson, one son, Dennis (Edie) of Dickinson, four daughters, Karen of St. Paul, MN, Rhonda (Ken) Dukart of Dickinson, Lois Mosbrucker of Dickinson, and Lori (Tom) Leutz of Mandan, ND.. Eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.. one brother and three sisters.
