Anton “Tony” Mosbrucker, 96, Mandan, formerly of Center, North Dakota, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck, surrounded by family and MSLCC Staff. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Center with Fr. Shane Campbell officiating. Visitation is scheduled for 5-7:00 PM with a Rosary/Vigil service beginning at 7:00 PM, Monday, February 2, 2015, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in St. Martin’s Catholic Cemetery, Center.
Tony was born September 21, 1918, to Phillip and Rosa (Hatzenbiller) Mosbrucker at Youngtown, North Dakota where he was raised and educated. On October 8, 1940, he married the love of his life, Rose Schneider in Center. Tony served in the CCC’s where he was a qualified dynamite blaster and sharp shooter. Most of his life he farmed, later he drove bus for both the high school and senior citizens. He was an avid quilter, pinochle player, handyman, woodworker, and played the harmonica. He enjoyed family most of all and mom’s homemade potato salad.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Jack, Matt, Phillip, Ralph, and Clemens; four sisters, Eva Lipp Isabelle Walters, Margaret Lipp, and Mary Obenauer; grandson, Ryan Mosbrucker; great-grandchildren, Emily Moon and Joey Bauer; and great-great-granddaughter, Nevaeh. The family would like to thank the staff at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center and Dakota Clinic doctors and staff for the excellent care they gave Tony.

He is survived by his wife, Rose, Mandan; three daughters, Alice (Ervin) Janke and Shirley (Larry) Bauer, all of Bismarck, and Sharon (Larry) Orgaard, Center; one son, Ron (Vivian) Mosbrucker, Bismarck; two sisters, Minnie Pershke, Marshall, Minn., and Frances Murphy, Texas; one brother, Lawrence (Mary) Mosbrucker, Mandan; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 31 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
