He was born March 26, 1917 in Opheim, Montana. He served with the Army Signal Corps from 1942 to 1944. He worked as an accountant at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in the Naval Support Activity in Naples, Italy and for the Ship Repair Facility in Guam. He retired in 1974 after a 37 year federal career. He is survived by his wife, Mildred of Annandale, daughter Christina M. Boechler, also of Annandale; son Lawrence of Alexandria, VA; and six grandchildren. Graveside services were 2 p.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Lewis Funeral Chapel. The family requests memorials be made to Alzheimer?s Disease Research, 15835 Shady Grove Road, Rockville, Md. 20850.
