MARION
Richard Eisenhauer, 91, passed away 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at Marion Rehab.
Richard was born Jan. 11, 1923, in Franklin County, the son of Fred H. And Cora (Stephens) Eisenhauer.
He proudly answered the call to serve his country during WWII. Richard was a member of the 101st Airbourne Division.
He retired from Marion Memorial Hospital where he had worked in housekeeping. He was a member of Minor Christian Church.
Survivors include three brothers, Perry D. Eisenhauer and wife Iona of Benton, Leslie E. Eisenhauer and wife Areta of Johnston City and Leon D. Eisenhauer and wife Jeannette of Mahomet; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be noon Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, Marion, with the Rev. Don Colson officiating.
Burial will follow in Zeigler Cemetery with military rites performed by members of Marion VFW Post No. 1301, American Legion Post No. 147 and members of the National Guard.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Friday until the time of service at the funeral home.
