July 22, 1995 DEATH Margretta Spence Margretta Elizabeth (Betty) Spence, 76, 33153 Creamery St., Lewisville, Ohio, died Saturday, July 22, 1995, near Lewisville as the result of an automobile acci­dent. She was born Nov. 11, 1918 in Wheeling, daughter of the late Herman Carl Blum and Anna Julia Wodarczyk Blum. She was a member of the Lewisville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Blum; two grand­children. Surviving are her husband, James Ralph Spence; two sons, Ralph Allen Spence of Summerfield and Mark Herman Spence of Woodsfield; four daughters, Mrs. Larry (Linda) Lumbatis, Mrs. James (Carrie) Cox, Mrs. Glenn (Connie) Kuhn and Mrs. Dan (Chris) Christman, all of Woodsfield; two sisters, Flora Jean Soult and Lois Marjorie Ann Baker, both of Martins Ferry; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, with Lorna Brownfield officiating.
