Raymond C. "Bud" Haffner, 86, of 49462 SR 26, Beallsville, died Feb. 2, 2000, in the Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling. He was born at Pittsburgh, on June 6, 1913, a son of the late George and Crescentia Madl Haffner.
He was a retired farmer and a retired employee of the former Conalco Corporation in Hannibal. He was a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church at Woodsfield.
Surviving are his wife Loretta Haren Haffner, whom he married on Nov. 16, 1936; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Caroline) Watters, of Woodsfield; two sons, Jacob Haffner and his wife, Mary Kay, of Beallsville, Raymond P. Haffner, of the home, two grandsons, Jeffrey Haffner and his wife, Kelle, of Waterford, Ryan Watters, of Woodsfield, a step-grand son, Bruce A. Watters and his wife, Joy, of Woodsfield, two great-granddaughters, Megan Haffner and Carly Haffner, both of Waterford; a step-great-granddaughter, Kara Watters, of Woodsfield, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.
Friends were received at the Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Feb. 6.
Funeral liturgy with Mass was celebrated Feb. 7 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, with Monsignor Thomas C. Petronek as the celebrant. Burial followed in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Ozark.
Vigil services were held Feb. 6 at the funeral home.
