Services for Helen E. Hartman, 75, of Rock Island, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rock Island. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.
Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m., Monday at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, where a combined parish, St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society and Daughters of Isabella Circle 532 rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.
Mrs. Hartman died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
The former Helen Naab was born, Oct. 9, 1926, in Rock Island, the daughter of Thomas W. and Helen A. Wood Naab. She married Robert E. Hartman, Aug. 11, 1947, in Rock Island. He died Dec. 18, 1996.
Helen graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School, Rock Island in 1945. She had worked for a number of years in the circulation department at the Rock Island Argus.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society of the church, the Allouez Council 658 Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Circle 532 Daughters of Isabella. Helen was also a member of the Ladies of the Elks Lodge 980, Rock Island. She enjoyed her grandchildren and friends, going to the boats and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs.
Survivors include daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Ann and Ernest Voss Jr., Moline, and Helen Agnes Boden, Rock Island; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas H. and Jeri Hartman, Rock Island; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Lillian C. Lambert, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gary R. Boden, and sisters, Mary K. Mueller and Veronica A. Banks Koby.
