Dennis Leingang, 64, Bismarck, passed away June 28, 2013, after a 7 month battle with mesothelioma.
Services will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with Rev. Tim Johnson officiating.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 ? 8:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, and will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Dennis was born on October 6, 1948, to Joseph and Ida Leingang. He grew up in Mandan, where he graduated high school. Following graduation, he chose to serve his country and enlisted in the US Navy. He served aboard the USS Valley Forge and USS Midway during Vietnam.
Following his military career, Dennis began a career as a custom picture framer. It was while working in this profession that he met his wife, Carla (Glandt). Together, they built their business, Carden Custom Framing, while raising two daughters, Kelby and Kelsey.
A humble and hard working man, Dennis loved his profession. He appreciated the outdoors and recently had developed a keen interest in landscape photography. If not at his business, you would likely find Dennis working on home projects, taking photographs, or enjoying family time.
A man of few words, Dennis often showed love in his generous actions. He had been looking forward to a joyful summer of playing in the park with his two grandsons. Dennis was adored by many and will forever be missed.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Carla; his daughter, Kelsey; his daughter and son-in-law, Kelby and Kevin, and their children, Levi and Max Hovey; his mother, Betty; three brothers, Dale, Duane (Jane), and Dave (Susan) Leingang; and numerous nieces and nephews.
