Nick J. Leingang
Nick J. Leingang of Renton died Dec. 4, 1997, at Valley Medical Center in Renton. He was 82.
Mr. Leingang was born Dec. 15, 1914, in St. Anthony," N.D., and was raised on a farm in North Dakota. He married Amelia Mossbrucker in 1936. He worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Depression and shipyards in Los Angeles during World War II. After the war, he moved to Spokane, where he worked as an ironworker at Artistic Iron Works. After retiring in 1976, he moved to Renton 12 years ago.
Mr. Leingang was a member of the Eagles, National Shopmen's Union and the Foresters. He enjoyed bowling and cards. He is survived by his wife, Amelia Leingang of Renton; a son, Bob Leingang of Bellevue; three daughters, Shirley Barton of Bellevue, Dorothy Thate of Grand Forks, B.C., and Kathy Shook of Spokane; a brother, Joe Leingang of Mandan, N.D.; two sisters, Mary Frohlich and Francis Hauqarth, both of Bismarck, N.D.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home in Renton. A service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, also at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
