Robert W. Froehlich
MISSOULA - Robert W. Froehlich, 73, of Missoula, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 28, 2004, from natural causes. Robert was born to George and Tilly Froehlich on Nov. 1, 1930.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Tom.
Robert is survived by his daughter, RaeLynn M. (Joey) Zavarelli; his son, Joel M. Froehlich; and his loving companion, Dale Spettigue and her two sons, Todd and David Amick.
Bob was raised in Missoula, attending St. Anthony's grade school and subsequently Missoula County High School. He then attended a local business college earning an associate degree in business.
Not long thereafter, Bob began working for both Bill Hainline Sr. and Bill Hainline Jr. at 4-B's Inc. Bob spent 42 years working for 4-B's eventually rising to executive vice president. Over the last 20 years, Bob took on a new endeavor, namely Truckers Express Inc. With the help of Dale Spettigue, they built a business that continues to grow and thrive to this day.
Bob married in 1962 to Ruth M. Harrington. They had two children, RaeLynn and Joel. Bob was divorced in 1988. Since then, his life partner has been Dale Spettigue.
Bob believed in richness of life through generosity. He was humble, quiet, and above all dedicated to the people he felt proud to work with.
Bob loved to go fishing, bowling, and playing golf in his earlier years. As the years have crept by, Bob slowly decreased his outside activities.
Bob believed in looking at the good qualities of a person and did not dwell on the bad ones. Time and again, Bob has helped numerous people increase the richness of their lives by not abandoning them, but instead being there for both moral and physical support. Bob gave freely to many people and organizations in hope that his contributions would make a difference. They have. We have all been blessed to know Bob and his kind and wonderful heart. He will always be loved and greatly missed by his family, friends and co-workers.
