Henry A. Hertz, 82, retired business owner

Henry A. Hertz, 82, a Lewiston retiree, died Thursday of causes related to age at Lewiston Rehabilitation and Care Center at Lewiston.
He was born March 17, 1913, to Anton and Margaret Gartner Hertz at Glen Ullin, N.D. He grew up and attended school at Glen Ullin. He married Mary Wolf May 3, 1938, at Glen Ullin and they moved to Glendive, Mont., in 1942.
He owned and operated cabinetry shops in various places in Missoula, Mont., and Ashby, Minn., before moving to Big Arm, Mont., when he retired in 1981. He has lived in Lewiston since 1986.
His wife died July 2, 1992.
He enjoyed camping, fishing and woodworking.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Bunton of Clarkston and Shirley Velk of Haver, Mont.; one son, Ken Hertz of Silver Bay, Minn.; two sisters, Anna Daunhauer of Bismarck, N.D., and Connie Wullivan of Mott, N.D.; and three grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at St. James Roman Catholic Church at Lewiston. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church with Celebrant William Crowley.
Inurnment will take place at Normal Hill Cemetery at Lewiston. Malcom's Brower-Wann Memorial Chapel at Lewiston is making the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Family Hospice, 415 Sixth St., Lewiston.
