f Martin Roll Visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. MST today at St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Mott, where a rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. MST Special music will be provided by Sylvia Feller, organist, and Bernie Friedt, soloist. Serving as casketbearers are Mike, Brent, Glenn and Robbie Roll, Roger, Joel and Allen Friedt, Chuck Lee, Justin Eikamp, Randy Friez, Mark Dauenhauer and Jed Kautz-man. All friends, neighbors and the Mott Rural Fire District firemen are considered honorary bearers. Martin "Marty" Frank Roll was born May 16, 1944, on the family homestead 8V2 miles north of Burt, N.D. He was the youngest of 14 children born to Michael and Rosa (Reichert) Roll. Marty attended St. Vincent's Catholic School in Mott. He worked on the construction of several grain elevators in the area. Marty was united in marriage to Betty Friedt on July 22, 1964, at Mott. They went to Billings, Mont., where Marty worked constructing steel buildings. In 1967, they moved back to the farm north of Burt and purchased it in 1970. Marty and Betty farmed and ranched together until the time of his death. He served on the Mott Rural Fire District and the Walker Township Board for many years. He was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus. He loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Surviving family members include his wife, Betty, Mott; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, John Roll and friend, Rose Drumm, Bullhead, Ariz., Jerome Roll, Mott, William and Winnifred Roll, El Dorado Springs, Mo., Sebastian and Norita Roll, Mott, and Marie Roll, Dickinson; seven sisters and three brothers-in-law, Eva and Innozent Zentner, Mott, Ann Kuntz, Billings, Mont., Barbara and Cornelius Kautzman, Bal-lentine, Mont., Viola Dauenhauer, Billings, Delores Lee and friend, Duane Cregger, Hettinger, Gladys Humeston and friend, Willie Trieb, El Dorado Springs, and Sally and Marlin Schneider, Bismarck; and numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Paul Roll; and one sister, Selma Roll. A memorial has been established.
