OBITUARY:
Leonard Joseph Eisenhauer, 87, of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:03 P.M., Saturday, August 9, 2003 at Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin. Leonard was a retired automotive mechanic. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Du Quoin, Du Quoin American Legion, Du Quoin VFW, and Lions Club. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of W.W. II.
He was born November 6, 1915 at Vergennes, IL, the son of Karl Henry and Elizabeth (Endres) Eisenhauer. He married Inez I. Bost on May 18, 1941 at Jackson, MO and she survives. He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, three daughters - Vicki Morris and husband Greg of Tamaroa, L.T. Hill and husband Ralph of Du Quoin, and Gayle Eisenhauer of Du Quoin, two brothers - Eugene Eisenhauer and William Eisenhauer and wife Jerry, all of Du Quoin, one sister - Helen Williams of Murphysboro, IL, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother - Karl Eisenhauer and one sister - Pauline House.
Funeral services were at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin with Msgr. Harry Jerome officiating.
Friends alled from 5 to 8 P.M., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Rosary was prayed at 9:30 A.M., Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Du Quoin.
Military graveside rites were conducted by Du Quoin VFW.
Friends may make memorials to American Lung Association.
