Mark J. Haren
'In the end, it is not the years
in your life, but the life
in your years.'
Age 57 of North Canton, formerly of Louisville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 at his home following a recent illness. Mark was born January 24, 1952 in Canton, the son of Marvin and Barbara (Zwick) Haren. He was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas School Class of 1970. He was the owner and operator of Mark Haren Construction. Mark was an avid sports fan and his hobbies included fishing for walleye on Lake Erie and going to the horse races. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The most important thing in Mark's life was his family and friends. Mark touched the lives of so many people from all walks of life - he will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
Besides his parents, Mark is survived by his daughter, Amy (Justin) Teckenbrock of Cornelius, NC; son, Tom (Jennifer) Haren of Anderson, SC; fiancée, Heather Wagner; sisters, Mary Ann (Don) Shafer of Louisville and Sue (Mike) Case of Louisville; brothers, Tim Haren of Canton and Larry (Stephanie) Haren of Lancaster; grandchildren, Anna and Joshua Teckenbrock and Maggie Denise and Sadie Grace Haren; numerous nieces and nephews and his two loving dogs, Natty and Edgar.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Terry who passed away in 1981.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. David Menegay officiating. Mark's family will receive friends Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville. The family wishes to offer their appreciation to the staff of the Cleveland Clinic and Mercy Medical Center for the wonderful care offered to Mark during his illness.
