"Tony" Kuntz, 84, Mandan, died Feb. 17, 2010, at his home. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Patrick Schumacher as celebrant. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Friday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Moose Ritual at 6:30 p.m. followed by a parish rosary/vigil at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Tony was born July 11, 1925, in Mandan to Joseph and Rose (Frohlich) Kuntz. He was raised and educated in Mandan. On July 3, 1950, Tony married Lenora Schekorsky in Mandan. Honest and hard working, Tony enjoyed the 38 years he spent working for Cass Clay Creamery in Mandan, retiring in June 1987. Tony appreciated the outdoors and enjoyed being by the river, especially fond of all the time he spent camping and fishing. Tony and Lenore traveled to Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii and were proud to have traveled through all 50 states. Tony was a member of the Mandan Moose Lodge and Eagles Club. Blessed to have shared his life include his wife of 59 years, Lenore, Mandan; his sister, Viola (Hermes) Curry, Broomfield, Colo.; his sister-in-law, Susan Kuntz, Arvada, Colo.; his niece, Judie (Bill) Keller, Bismarck; his great-nephew, Jeff (Shana) Keller, and their children, Amanda and Sara, Bismarck; his great-niece, Lori (Gene) Balzer, and their children, Ryne and Michael, Bismarck. Tony was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Maggie; and one brother, Bill Kuntz.
