Bio: He was in World War I and was gassed; he survived but never quite recovered his full health. His military record says he enlisted 27 May 1918; he served as a Private with Co. D, 336 Infantry to Oct 1918; then was transferred and served with Co. M, 362 Infantry, until 1 May 1919 when he received an Honorable Discharge. Was part of the Ypres-Lys. American Expeditionary Forces 3 Sept 1918 to 14 Apr 1919.
