Madolyn M. Darby
DARBY, Madolyn M. Taylor, 82, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Saturday, July 29, 2006 in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling.
She was a retired employee of Hazel-Atlas Company, Wheeling; and a retired auditor at Wheeling Closure Company with over 40 years of service.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling; a member of AARP and OPAL?s (Older Peoples Active Lifestyles); and a volunteer at Ohio Valley Medical Center for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Darby in 1989; her parents, Merle and Anna Robinson Taylor; and three brothers, Chester M. Taylor, Harold William Taylor and John David Taylor.
Surviving are two nieces, Mary Ann Taylor Chambers of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Janet Herr and her husband, Glenn, of Gold Hill, N.C.; three nephews, C. Jay Taylor and his wife, Kathleen, of West Alexander, Pa., Timothy B. Taylor and his wife, Mary Paull, of Wheeling and David Taylor and his wife, Darleen, of Champion, Ohio; a step daughter, Mary Jane Meador and her husband, Gary, of Wheeling; a step son, Alfred Darby, Jr. and his wife, Joann, of Tapon Springs, Fla.; numerous great nephews and nieces along with step grandchildren; and many beloved friends.
Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Interment will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
