da Leingang, 87, Bismarck, died July 20, 2003 in a local care center.
Ida Eckroth was born September 14, 1915 in Fallon, ND the daughter of Peter and Katherine (Pfaff) Eckroth. She grew up in Fallon and attended Fallon Catholic School. On June 20, 1937 she married Joseph J. Leingang and they farmed near Flasher, ND until September 1973 when they moved to Mandan.
Ida was a hard working woman and an excellent German cook. She enjoyed dancing and music, especially polkas. Ida was a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church and the Fallon Christian Mothers Society.
Our Mom and Grandma will be missed so very much. She is in God?s hands now; take her home.
She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard and Katherine, Kenneth and Susan, Thomas and Sharon, all of Mandan William and Betty, of Bismarck, and Daniel and Jeanette of Washburn; four daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Leo Tschida of Ft. Rice, Marleen Tschida of Ft. Rice, Rose and James Schmidt of Bismarck, and Beverly and Julius Roehrich of Menoken; thirty-six grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Joseph and Katherine Eckroth of Mandan, Thomas and Sharon Eckroth of Bismarck, and Monica Eckroth of Mandan; four sisters, Isabel Franck, Minnie Schlinger, Barbara Bohl of Mandan, and Rose Eckroth of Minneapolis, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Ida is preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her parents Peter and Katherine Eckroth, one son Adam, one son-in-law Mike Tschida, four grandsons, one brother George, and three brothers-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to children?s charitable foundations.
