Nellie Pauline Rensing 1916 - 2005
Pauline Rensing, 87, Chanute, died Friday, July 15, 2005, at Neosho Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 16, 1916, in Healdton, Okla., the daughter of Paul Frederick and Eleanor Elizabeth Whitehead Dietrich.
She attended Vintage School at Webb City, Okla., for the first half of first grade. She moved to Humboldt during the depression and attended the sixth, seventh and eighth grades at Center Grove School east of Humboldt.
She married Lloyd Rensing April 17, 1941, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Chanute. He survives, of the home.
She was a homemaker and farming partner, including maintaining records for the business. She also enjoyed fishing and camping.
She worked a few years at the Chanute Dress Factory. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Unit, Best Yet 4-H leader, Do Si Do Square Dance Club, Good Sam's and the Meadowlark Camping Clubs and St. Patrick Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Phyllis Steinman, Humboldt, Donna Kellerman, Shawnee Mission, and Leta Elliott, Chanute; a son, Larry Rensing, Chanute; and 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Dietrich, and three sisters, Frances Breiner, June Williamson and Jewell Dietrich.
Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Monday, July 18, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or the American Heart Association in care of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, in charge of arrangements.
