Howard J. Dietsch, 93, passed away suddenly at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, N.J. Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph www.tuttlefh.com. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Therese R.C. Church, Succasunna, N.J. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Mr. Dietsch was born and raised in Newark, N.J. He lived in West Orange, N.J., and Barnegat, N.J., until moving to Succasunna, N.J., two years ago. He was chief architect of the Northern N.J. Federal Housing Administration (FHA-HUD) and as the deputy director until his retirement 35 years ago. A World War II veteran, Mr. Dietsch was a major in an anti-aircraft artillery unit and served in the Fiji Islands; he also served in the Korean War as well as the Army Reserve. He graduated from the General Command and Staff College. Howard is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marion (nee Nugent); his four daughters, Joyce Dietsch; Carole Nelson and her husband, Carl; Gail Baragona and her husband, Bob, and June Zarlenga and Gary Pulvermuller; his seven grandchildren, Jeff, Cheryl, Tiffany, Rob, Christina, Vincent and April and his five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations sent in Howard's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090 would be appreciated.
