She was born Nov. 2, 1911, in Clayton, S.D., to Alfred and Katherine (Koerner) DesCombaz. She married George A. Norman in Round Lake on Sept. 6, 1942. She was involved with her church, St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran, Ladies Aid and Sewing Circle. Survivors include four daughters, Judy Low, Franklin, Ky.; Georgena Linbo and her husband, Kevin, Hayfield; Kathy Berg and her husband, Stan, New Richland; Maryann Schlaak and her husband, Eugene, New Richland; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; brothers, Edwin DesCombaz, Worthington; LeRoy DesCombaz and his wife, Jolene, Las Vegas; Elmer DesCombaz and his wife, Lucille, Coon Rapids; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian DesCombaz; Theo Krob and his wife, Lorna; William Landa and his wife, Norva; Inez Norman; Dorothy Norman; Alvin Johnson; Wilma Madison; Alvin Norman and his wife, Eva; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents; a daughter, Deloris Dyke; brother, Alvin DesCombaz; a sister, Alvera Padleford. Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stephen Kurtzahn officiating. Worlein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
