Elmer Bass, the sone of MR and Mrs Steven Bass, was born April 18, 1895 near Ridgeport. He lived in Boone County all his life. Mr. Bass was baptized and united with the Mineral Ridge Baptist Church in 1917 where his membership remained. Preceding him in death were his father, who passed away January 2, 1937 his mother, on Sept 9 1944 and a sister, Marie Bass in 1901. He is survived by nine sisters and brothers. they are Mrs Chiles, Steven Bass and Mrs. Julia Hannum of Boone. Mrs Leona Runn and Roy Bass of Stratford. August Bass of Ames, Floyd Bass of Des Moines, Mrs Irene Stolte of Luther and Mrs Dorothy Berkey of Florence Oregon. Mr Bass died in Boone on May 12, 1952 at 58 years of age.
