NO PARTICULARS RECEIVED AS TO YOUNG WOMAN?S DEATH
---TO BE BROUGHT HERE
J.J. Benda, Secretary of the Washington County Farmers Mutual Insurance association, has received word of the sudden death of his daughter, Mrs. Helen Benda Gallagher at Ely, Nevada.
No particulars of any character have been received by the father, and the cause of her death is not known.
Mrs. Gallagher was twenty-five years of age. She had been in the west for several years. She and her husband were in Washington in 1918, and she was here again in July of last year, remaining for several weeks. Mr. Benda had not heard from his daughter for about six weeks, previous to receiving the telegram telling of her death.
He ordered the body sent to Washington for burial and it is expected tomorrow night. Funeral announcements cannot he made until the time of arrival is more definite.
Besides her father, Mrs. Gallagher leaves one sister, Mrs. Genevieve Walker of Ft. Worth, Texas, and one brother, Maurice Benda of St. Louis.
She was known here as a keen, energetic young woman, one who enjoyed life, and her death is a great shock to the family and friends, especially when all details are lacking. Mr. Benda expects soon to receive full particulars.

FUNERAL OF MRS. GALLAGHER SUNDAY
APPENDICITIS WAS CAUSE OF DEATH OF DAUGHTER OF JAMES J. BENDA
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Benda Gallagher, daughter of J.J. Benda, secretary of the Washington County Farmers Mutual Insurance association, who died at Ely, Nevada, will be held Sunday afternoon at two o?clock at the St. James Catholic church. Burial will be in Elm Grove cemetery.
The casket will be opened at the McNamara funeral parlors this evening from seven to nine o?clock and Sunday morning from ten to twelve, for the convenience of friends. The casket will not be opened at the church.
It was learned today that Mrs. Gallagher, who was twenty-five years of age, died from appendicitis. The attack was acute, and she died following an operation, after a brief illness.
Word of her death was received by her father early in the week from Ely, Nevada, where she had made her home for some time, but no particulars were received, and the cause of death was not known until this morning. Her sudden death, coming as it did with no warning and among strangers many miles from home, was a sad blow to her family and friends here.
