  [S927] Obituary. Alma Rempher, 94 Published/Last Modified on Friday, Oct 16, 2009 - 08:14:05 am CDT Alma Rempher, 94, of Pierre, died Oct. 14, 2009, at Maryhouse Nursing Care Facility in Pierre. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 19, at Maryhouse Chapel in Pierre, followed by Funeral Services beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at 4 p.m., Monday, Oct. 19, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen. Alma was born April 27, 1915, in Leola to Melcher Bonnett and Caroline (Koerner) Bonnett. She came from a family of seven children. She grew up in South Dakota, living on farms and working very hard. At 23, she married Arthur Rempher; they lived in various towns in South Dakota, ending up in Pierre for the last 20 years. To this union nine children were born, five boys, Arlo, Arnie, Allen, Aaron and Archie and four girls, Arlene, Alice, Ardy and Audrey. Advertisement Alma was a very hard worker and a wonderful mother. She always made sure there was food on the table and clothes on her children?s backs and loved each one very much. She loved being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by one sister, Ella Hoff; sons, Arlo, Arnie (Dusty), Aaron, and Archie (Diana) Rempher; daughters, Arlene (Lelen) Brasuell, Alice (Don) Pesicka, Ardy (Roger) Ellis and Audrey (Glenn) Williams; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; son, Allen; daughter-in-law, Lisa Rempher; grandsons, Greg Rempher and Marty Brausell; and five siblings.
