TRENT - Agnes E., 101, of Richland Township, passed away on May 25, 2005, at The Rose of Sharon Home. She was born Feb. 27, 1904, in Adams Township, daughter of Ernest and Emma (Keiper) Giffin. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold P.; daughter, Druscilla Jones; grandson, Dennis Jones; granddaughter, Karen Jones; sister, Hazel Bloom; and a son-in-law, William Kyler. Survived by her children, Harriet Kyler; Lois, wife of Robert Birtle; Robert, married to the former Romayne Shaffer; and Richard, married to the former Donna Rader, all of Johnstown; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; half-sister, Eleanor Matis, Elizabethtown; son-in-law, Brother Kermit Jones, Windber; and numerous nieces and nephews. Agnes was the oldest member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren, where she participated in Women's Fellowship and Ladies Aid. She was a charter member of Solomon Run Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with Brother Kermit Jones officiating. Interment will be held at Richland Cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions be sent to The Rose of Sharon Home, 135 Main St., St. Michael, Pa. 15951 or to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, Pa. 15963, in memory of Agnes.
