Nina Luella Hogue
Nina Luella Hogue, 101 , of 203 West Court Street, Woodsfield, died Feb 4, 1998, at The Monroe County Care Center. She was born near Antioch, on June 13, 1896, a daughter of the late Daniel C. and Frances Devore Petty.
For all of her adult life she was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, and for many years was associated with the Plainview Church of Christ congregation. Following her change of residence from Antioch to Woodsfield, she became a member of the Woodsfield Church of Christ. Only in the past few years was she unable to attend regular services because of declining health.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Averille (Lucille) Payne, Ashland, Mrs. Edward (Lorna) Stegner, Fairborn, Mrs. Donald (Mavis) Kochendorfer, Kettering; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Leland Hogue, Woodsfield, Forrest and Patricia Hogue, Cleveland, Tenn, Dalton and Lucille Hogue, Woodsfield; a daughter-in law, Ruth Hogue, Woodsfield; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, Forrest S. Hogue, in 1971; a son, Norman Hogue, in 1997; two brothers, Lloyd Petty and James K. Petty ; a sister; Edith Lashley.
Friends were received Feb. 6 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, where services were held Feb. 7, with Harry Summers officiating. Interment in the Antioch Cemetery, Antioch.
