In Memory of my Son
He was loved in life; living yet:
In the hearts of those who can?t forget;
Near other loved one?s we laid him,
Low in the churchyard to lie,
And though our hearts are near broken,
Yet we do not question ?why?.
Into heavens mansion he entered,
Never to sigh or to weep,
Blast of the earth shall no longer,
Throw over our loved one a chill.
Angels through heaven will guide him,
Jesus will still bless and keep.
Not for the world would we wake him.
Beautiful rest for the weary,
Well deserved rest for the true,
When our life?s journey is ended,
We shall again be with you.
This helps quiet our weeping.
Hark! Angel music so sweet!
He giveth to his beloved, beautiful, beautiful sleep.
Clara had a great memory in regard to people, times, and events. A former Hebron Mayor referred to her as a ?walking encyclopedia?.
